I am absolutely astounded with the generosity of the Mass Effect community right now.

When I saw the Child's Play fund, I wasn't sure what to think. How is this at all related to Mass Effect? How will it accomplish anything? But now I see. This is to bring positive attention to our cause. We are not a bunch of whiny little fanboys complaining that the ending wasn't sunshine and rainbows. We are a mature group of gamers who are disappointed with how the ending of one our favorite game series played out. We have legitimate reasons and explanations for our complaints and we are trying to present them as calmly and maturely as we can.

We have collaborated with Child's Play to gain attention for our cause. Instead of going on forums and trolling and flaming, we opened a fund to help sick little kids. Even if Bioware doesn't address our concerns, even if they don't so much as acknowledge us, we have already raised over $25,000 for Child's Play and that's something I will forever be proud to be a part of.

I am proud to count myself a member of the Mass Effect community.

Hold the line, indeed! I'm so proud of the Mass Effect community coming together to raise money for such a worthy charity. If no changes come from BioWare, we've at least got something positive outta it.

Exactly. Those kids could use the money more than EA/Bioware anyways lol ;D

Yes. I'm trying to get in contact with the creator of 'demand a better ending for mass effect 3' on facebook. I suggested he challenge BioWare to match our groups donation. Even if we don't get anything changed, then those kids benefit twice as much. Hopefully he'll get back to me, but I really hope it's considered.

I think with the price drop on Amazon and all the returns I've been reading about on the facebook page, they may not be able to afford it haha. Just kidding, but really, that's great. Good thinking!

Although I hated the ending, I still love and adore the series. I could never bring my game back. I've beaten the third one twice now and I'm working on the third with my fem!shep. The ending doesn't suck any less, but everything before that is still amazing.

Pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe, so there was really no returning it, not that I would have anyways. I agree though, the first 95 or so % of the game was gold. There were so many fantastic, emotional moments that made me fall in love with the series all over again. The ending just left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I really haven't been able to go back to 3 yet. Instead, I took a trip down nostalgia lane and started a new play through of ME1 to remind me why I fell in love with the series in the first place. Plan to carry this one through all 3. Fix some mistakes. Hopefully Bioware will have done something about the ending by the time I get there. Here's to hoping! :)

Yeah, I preordered the 360 version. I don't think I could return it even if I wanted to. And I spent 80 bucks on it. So if there's a slim chance a (free) dlc will fix it, I'll hang onto it. I still love the series... I just will never buy another bioware game again if this is how they treat us fans.

I was in the middle of rebeating ME1 (I couldn't stand sitting there waiting for ME3 so I started ANOTHER game). Renegade!Fem Shep with Liara romance... but now, all I can think is "what is the point?" As I rebeat the third one I keep thinking "Somehow, someway, for some reason, the end will be different this time." And.... it's not.

Lol I heard a definition of insanity one time: "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result."
If this is the case, then I believe we are both insane, my friend, because I played through the ending a few times hoping that somehow I had missed something and it would change.

I agree though. If this isn't resolved, then I'm done with Bioware.
